This business planning boot camp hosted by our software business partners, Commonsku, offered three days of deep-diving into crucial topics for business leaders and disrupters in the promo industry.

1️⃣ It is important to establish a healthy conflict culture in your business. Conflict is often seen as a negative thing in the workplace, especially in the Midwest. Anyone else’s mom ever say, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all?” Speaker Liane Davey rocked Skucamp attendees' worlds by encouraging them to engage in healthy conflict. According to Davey, “The only reason to have a meeting is to have conflict. The goal of a meeting is to put tension on ideas. Otherwise, your conversation can be an email.” [Mic Drop]
2️⃣ Ask better questions. If you ask better questions, you can provide your client with better solutions. All employees who interact with clients need to learn to learn to ask better questions and ask them often, which in turn will give your client more value in working with your company.
3️⃣ Define what you're great at, good at, and what you're just okay or bad at. Stop doing things you're just okay or bad at, invest in the things that you're good at that you feel you can become great at and that will provide results, and do more of the things you're great at. Take the time to evaluate these areas in your business and they can help guide your growth. 🌟
